S.J. Rollins Technologies will hold an open house 3-5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at its new location in Brewer.

S.J. Rollins Technologies, which specializes in Cloud Hosting, Managed Services, Network Security and Telecommunications, will celebrate the opening of its new location 3-5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at 508 Wilson St.

There will be a short blessing ceremony by the Rev. Dr. Jerry Mick from Crosspoint Church; a ribbon-cutting with the Brewer City Councilors; iPad and gift card giveaways; and a short breakout session on Ransomware in the workplace and how to avoid it.

The office is located between Playland Adventures and VIP Auto Parts, directly across from Dairy Queen.

Since 1986, owner Stephen Rollins, has been working with local businesses throughout the state of Maine.  He has grown from a one-man operation in his college years at University of Maine in Orono to more than 20 employees servicing clients in six states and five countries. After he was graduated in 1986, the business was moved to Liberty Drive in Hermon.

Later office space in downtown Bangor met the needs of the company for six years until more space was needed.  The company then moved to State Street in Bangor where it was located for 25 years.  Three years ago, S.J. Rollins added a public data center, which occupied 25 percent of the building. In 2016, as the business grew larger, the need for more space was quickly becoming evident and a larger data center was desperately needed.

In the spring of 2016 the former TD Bank building in Brewer caught the eye of the company and after major renovations and an addition to the building SJ Rollins Technologies moved its location after the 25 years in Bangor to its current 10,000-square-foot location at 508 Wilson St. in Brewer.
