BREWER, Maine – Waterfront Concerts announced Monday an exclusive arrangement with Machias Savings Bank in which the bank’s customers will have access to tickets before their availability to the general public.

The arrangement was announced during a press conference at the Machias Savings Bank branch on Wilson Street in Brewer.

“We have already announced some big shows this year, but there is more to come,” said Alex Gray, president of Waterfront Concerts. “And because of sponsors like Machias Savings Bank coming on board and realizing the appeal of the Waterfront Concert Series at the Darling’s Pavilion, we are able to bring bigger shows to the Bangor Waterfront … like the top-tier shows that have already been announced — Toby Keith, Sting, Phish, and Kenny Chesney.”

To access pre-sale tickets, the bank’s customers can use their Machias Savings Bank credit or debit cards to make the purchase. There will be no need for special codes or coupons for the bank’s customers to take advantage of the pre-sale opportunities.

“We will be providing Machias Savings Bank ATM machines this year both near the box office and near the concessions at the Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion for the convenience of all concert-goers who might need a little extra cash for souvenirs or refreshments,” said Larry Barker, president of Machias Savings Bank. “At Machias Savings Bank, we have believed for a long time that Eastern Maine is a great place for people to visit, work, and play. Waterfront Concerts is another piece of the puzzle that is attracting more and more people to this part of the country — and those people keep coming back for all that we have to offer.”

Waterfront Concerts also confirmed the 13th show of the season — Grammy winning hip-hop icon Lil Wayne will perform at the Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion on Tuesday, July 23. The 2013 America’s Most Wanted Tour also will bring T.I. and Future to eastern Maine, and tickets for the show will go on sale at noon Friday.

The first show of the season will be Motley Crue on Thursday, May 16.

Machias Savings Bank has 14 branches in 13 communities throughout eastern Maine.
