The Brewer Parks and Recreation Department has suspended all activities, meetings, and events at the Ferris Community Center until further notice. This includes the Afterschool Program, walking program, and all youth and adult programs. Participants are encouraged to use the Parks and Rec registration website for program updates and department transactions.

Patriots’ Day 2020
The Joseph L. Ferris Community Center, Brewer Public Library, Brewer City Hall and other administrative offices will be closed Monday, April 20th, in observance of Patriots' Day 2020. Brewer Public Safety – Brewer Police and Fire Departments are open 24/7. Call 911 for EMERGENCY CALLS. Call 989-7001 for NON-emergency calls. Civil War historian and author Brian F. Swartz will present the well-illustrated program “Maine and Brewer Help Save the Union in 1861 and 1862” via Zoom. His program will focus on how Maine and Brewer responded when civil war tore apart our country in the early 1860s.
