During this workshop, participants will have a chance to hear about National Digital Equity Center’s new Aging Well With Technology curriculum which is designed for residents aged 55+ as well as many other computer skills classes. The Brewer Parks and Recreation Department has suspended all activities, meetings, and events at the Ferris Community Center until further notice. This includes the Afterschool Program, walking program, and all youth and adult programs. Participants are encouraged to use the Parks and Rec registration website for program updates and department transactions.

The Joseph L. Ferris Community Center, Brewer Public Library, Brewer City Hall and other administrative offices will be closed Monday, April 20th, in observance of Patriots' Day 2020. Civil War historian and author Brian F. Swartz will present the well-illustrated program “Maine and Brewer Help Save the Union in 1861 and 1862” via Zoom. His program will focus on how Maine and Brewer responded when civil war tore apart our country in the early 1860s.
