Dog Ears Reading Therapy
Come read to one of our Tail Waggin' Tutors! The Dog Ears Program helps children discover how much fun reading and the library can be. Individual reading sessions take place in a quiet, comfortable area of the library. Please call 989-7943 to register your child for a 15-minute one-on-one session with one of the certified therapy dogs.

Brewer Riverwalk Festival
Brewer Riverwalk Festival will feature demonstration on the Outdoor Gym at 9:00AM, then we'll have food trucks on Center Street until 4:00PM. There will be a magician, musical performances, theatre performances, a corn hole tournament, a craft fair, lots of children's activities and fireworks over the river at 9:00PM. Author Mark Leslie and the Maine Underground Railroad
Maine played a key role in one of the most important movements for African Americans seeking freedom from slavery: the Underground Railroad. The great escape out of bondage in the South in 1850s/1860s is told through the dramatic and danger-filled story of one young man, Tice, in Mark Leslie's book, "True North."
