Grades 2 & 3 can join Ms. Brooke of Maine SNAP-Ed for nutrition education, a food tasting, and a physical activity. Call 989-7943 to register. Pre-registration is required.
Food Smarts Kids, for grades 4 and 5, is a learner-centered nutrition education and cooking curriculum, covering several core nutrition principles including eating a variety of foods, choosing whole foods, consuming water more often, and physical activity.

On Monday, July 31st at 6pm, the Brewer Public Library will host Maine author Mark Alan Leslie in the Library's Cayford Room. Mr. Leslie will give a Power Point presentation on the KKKs presence in Maine in the 1920s.

On Monday, August 7th at 6pm, the Brewer Public Library will host Maine author Hans Krichels in the Library's Cayford Room. Mr. Krichels will give a reading, answer questions, and sign books.
On Monday, August 14th at 6pm, the Brewer Public Library will host bestselling author Tess Gerritsen at the Joseph L. Ferris Community Center at 318 Wilson Street. Miss Gerritsen will give a reading, answer questions, and sign books. Copies of her books will be available for sale.
