Passport Information

The Brewer Public Library is certified as a U.S. Passport acceptance agency, with three certified acceptance agents. We process passport applications Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Passports
Applicants must submit a completed application (except for signature) filled out in black ink, a birth certificate with a raised seal, a current photo ID (such as a driver’s license or state ID), one passport picture, and all fees to both the U.S. Department of State and the Brewer Public Library (fees must be paid separately in U.S. currency). All applicants must appear in person; applicants under age sixteen must be accompanied by both parents, and applicants ages sixteen and seventeen must be accompanied by at least one parent.

Passport Cards

Fees
The current fees for passport book applications are:

  • $110.00 to the U.S. Department of State for applicants age sixteen and older, plus the separate $25.00 execution fee to the Brewer Public Library
  • $80.00  to the U.S. Department of State for applicants under sixteen, plus the separate $25.00 execution fee to the Brewer Public Library

The current fees for passport card applications are:

  • $30.00 to the U.S. Department of State for applicants sixteen and older, plus the separate $25.00 execution fee to the Brewer Public Library
  • $15.00 to the U.S. Department of State for applicants under sixteen, plus the separate $25.00 execution fee to the Brewer Public Library

Expedited applications may be processed for an additional fee. All fees to the U.S. Department of State for passports and passport cards must be paid by check or money order in U.S. currency. Execution fees to the Brewer Public Library must be paid by check or cash in U.S. currency.
