This position plays a key role in maintaining department records, processing permits, coordinating inspections, managing files, and providing excellent customer service to the public and city staff.
The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with computers and office systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a busy municipal office are essential. Prior experience in code enforcement or zoning is preferred but not required.

Operator II
The City of Brewer is seeking a motivated, team focused, individual to fill the full-time Operator II position with the Environmental Services Department. This Department is an award winning, positive work environment with a dynamic and highly dedicated staff who strive for daily service excellence.
This position is responsible for the day shift operation and maintenance of a 5.2 MGD conventional activated sludge facility and 14 pump stations. Tasks include, operation of sludge dewatering equipment and record keeping, related laboratory work, and pump station maintenance. Complete facility inspections and performs minor maintenance and adjustment on equipment. Collects samples and performs some basic laboratory analysis.
The successful candidate will have excellent computer and communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain a positive attitude within a team environment. Prior experience with Water Pollution Control Facility operations and completion of Volume I of the Sacramento Wastewater Course are preferred. However, the City is willing to provide training and support for the right candidate.
