Maine native Cynthia Anderson will discuss immigration and her latest book, Home Now: How 6,000 Refugees Transformed an American Town, the true story of African immigration into Lewiston, Maine. The program will be presented via Zoom.

Home Now is one of forty adult Maine non-fiction books the Brewer Library purchased in celebration of Maine’s bicentennial. This project was made possible thanks to a Rose and Samuel Rudman Fund Grant of the Maine Community Foundation. The talk is sponsored by the Brewer Public Library, the Brewer Library Association, and a Bicentennial Project 2 Grant from the Maine Arts Commission.
