Brewer Business Resources

Brewer Business Resources is a program of the City of Brewer’s Economic Development Office and is open to small business owners and entrepreneurs in Brewer and its surrounding communities. Brewer Business Resources is FREE business training, offering programs on a wide variety of topics that are critical to the small business owner, such as marketing, social media, cash flow analysis, site selection and human resources.

Our next session is “Handling Difficult Conversations with Employees,” presented by Danielle Caricofe, Senior VP of Human Resources for Machias Savings, on Tuesday, March 24th from 11:30am – 1:00pm at Machias Savings Bank, 581 Wilson Street in Brewer.

Our latest session was on Workplace Violence: Recognition, Prevention and Response with Lieutenant Chris Martin of the Brewer Police Department. We covered many aspects of workplace violence including its definition, situational awareness, how to recognize behavior that may be warning signs of potential violence or indicators of domestic violence and how to deal with these situations in the workplace.

Not a Brewer business? That’s okay – we would love to have you join us!
